ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Carpentry often requires precision and attention to detail. I am meticulous and careful with every project i'm working on, always taking the time to make sure the build is completed on time but most importantly, it's perfect!
I'm Oliver, I started my carpentry career with a Diploma in carpentry and joinery. From there I moved to a joinery workshop where I learnt the art of attention to detail, then into home refurbishment and improvement.
I found myself more and more intersted in traditional carpentry, using mainly hand tools and mortise and tenon joinery. This then lead me onto traditional timber framing and here we are!

My Great, Great, Great Grandfather
For many generations, my ancestors have settled in North East Essex. My great, great, great grandfather was Henry Gozzett.
Son of a carpenter from Woodham Walter, he rose to become a Master Builder, carpenter and farmer living at Hatchman’s Farm with his eight children.
Working closely for many years with Frederick Chancellor, the mayor of Chelmsford, he designed and built numerous notable buildings around Essex and Suffolk including schools, mill houses, churches and houses.
I am extremely proud to continue the work of building and crafting with wood, in North East Essex and surrounding areas.
This is where my interest in the skill peaked. I developed a passion for the traditional processes of hand built timber frames, specifically oak.
Since then i have devoted my time to creating traditionally built oak structures, be it creating new ones, or bringing life back into old ones to hopefully outlast us all and be maintained by future generations.
